Hardy reel St. George Salmon Hotspur 9/10. Developed in Alnwick England. The Hardy St George Salmon Reels were introduced for the first time in 1920, then, in 1921, the design was changed to incorporate the "silent wind" action. The St George Salmon remained in production for 5 years and now, more than 90 years later, Hardy has re-manufactured the St George Salmon reels, based on the original 1920s design.
