Sizing Guidance & Proper Layering
Finding Your Fit: When determining your size, use exact body measurements. Simms has already provided extra room for technical layering and natural movement within their sizing matrix. A correct fit goes a long way to extending the life of your wader.
The Danger of Jeans: Do not wear denim jeans under your waders, as they are highly abrasive and will wear on the material from the inside out.
Cotton Restriction: Cotton pants like jeans and sweatpants do not transfer moisture away from your body.
Technical Moisture Wicking: Utilizing proper technical layering under your waders will wick sweat away from your skin, enabling the GORE-TEX® membrane to breathe efficiently.
General Care, Washing & Maintenance
The #1 Longevity Tip: Drying your waders thoroughly after each use is the single most important step to prolonging their life.
Drying Protocol: It is recommended to dry the inside first and then flip them to dry the outside. When drying the exterior, you can pull your gravel guards up until the feet are dry, then flip them down to dry the rest of the wader.
Washing Instructions: Use a front-load machine or hand wash with cold water and normal detergent that does not contain bleach.
Dryer Warning: Never put your waders in a commercial or home clothes dryer. The heat will adversely affect the seam tape and will completely void your warranty.
Stain Removal: Most standard stain removers will work fine on the fabric, but never use products that contain bleach.
Use a Mat: Always put your waders on using a protective mat to shield the neoprene feet from sharp rocks.
Vehicle Storage: Do not store your waders inside your car for long periods of time, as excess heat will ruin the technical seals.
